Training and rehabilitating shelter and rescued dogs is my passion and my specialty. With a decade of professional experience working in animal shelters and with rescue organizations, I have personally rescued, handled and trained thousands of dogs. I enthusiastically promote reward-based training! This method is effective for training any dog - regardless of age, breed or temperament.
Basic Manners and Puppy Kindergarten classes are now open for enrollment. These classes are taught at Devil Dog Ranch in rustic Tujunga.
Basic Manners is a fun, beginner-level class taught in a relaxed, intimate setting. These are small classes with a 4 dog/handler limit. They are ideal for helping shy, under-socialized, reactive, or newly rescued dogs build confidence and self-control. Teach your dog the basics: attention, sit, down, come, wait/stay, loose leash, and more.
Puppy Kindergarten is designed with the young puppy in mind -- 10 to 20 weeks of age at the start of class -- This is a balanced blend of training, supervised puppy-play, handling exercises and confidence & coordination building on a mini-agility course. Give your puppy a head start in this safe, fun & friendly outdoor classroom!
